PRIMARY PURPOSE: Manage replay system, Evertz Dreamcatcher, to recall instant replays as directed by the Producer or Director. Responsible for the playback of live game action and in-game entertainment by replays. Assists in the execution of the event script, assuring all elements and corporate partner obligations are fulfilled while enhancing the overall in-game entertainment.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Record pre-produced packages before and during the game to be used as playback
- Operate the replay machine, executing replay recalls as instructed by the Producer or Director during live-game and post-game scenarios
- Generate melts and packages for playback and archiving purposes
- Responsible for tagging, logging, and organizing of replay clips within Dreamcatcher system
- Efficiently cue and prepare instant replays, highlights, and video inserts for integration into live event production
- Troubleshoot technical and/or other practical issues that may arise
- Be responsive to direction in live event setting
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Maintain focus in high-profile and high-leverage situations
- Perform other video and content work, as directed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in TV Film, Broadcasting, Multimedia Production, etc.
- Demonstrated robust skills related to video replay and live- video editing
- Familiarity with multi-channel replay software and hardware operations, such as Dreamcatcher, EVS, Mira, and/or similar systems
- Prior hands-on experience in executing replays during live events is essential, preferably in a sports or large venue setting
- Existing knowledge of baseball rules and a comprehension of baseball scoring, or the capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge
- Proficiency in utilizing broadcast production equipment, understanding workflows, and staying current with technology including remote and facility-based productions
- Experience in a live control room or remote event environment working live sports or non-scripted live programming is preferred
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to take direction and adapt as necessary
- Proficiency in identifying and implementing solutions to technical or practical challenges that may arise
- Enthusiasm for collaborative and innovative work environments
- Possesses the ability to establish and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and the management team
- Ability maintain a seated or standing position for an entire shift
- Proficient in working within a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines under pressure
- Must be 18 years old
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability to work 70% of 81 home games
- Willingness to work extended hours during home games as dictated by job responsibilities and workload
- Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
