Position Summary:
A galvanizing production worker will run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt ,and other foreign matter from the metal objects to prepare them for the galvanizing process.
Essential functions:

• Load objects on cranes and on racks or containers that will be carried through a series of chemicals and rinsing baths.
• Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met.
• Must follow safety rules and regulations, including the reporting of any hazards, violations or injuries to your Team Leader, no matter how minor.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the Team Leaders in order to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
