Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and warmhearted Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in funeral service, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate compassion and empathy when assisting grieving families.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral arrangements, including meeting with families to discuss options and preferences.
- Arrange and prepare the deceased for funeral services or identifications.
- Provide guidance and support to families throughout the funeral process, offering comfort and assistance during their time of loss.
- Coordinate with clergy, florists, cemeteries, and other service providers to ensure seamless execution of funeral services.
- On call responsibilities and weekend availability with a degree of flexibility in scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Valid Funeral Director's License in Maryland, or ability to obtain licensure.
- Experience in funeral services, including direct interaction with families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to support families in their time of need.
