GENERAL SUMMARY
The Fundraising/Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of funding income and communications outside of Love INC. The fundraising responsibilities include leading fundraising events, building a sponsor base for each event, identifying grant opportunities and submitting requests for each grant, and meeting regularly with the key donors to achieve the fundraising goals for the organization. The marketing responsibilities include building and implementing a communications plan that focuses on social media, quarterly newsletters, email, print, and presentation communications. This position will lead volunteers to accomplish multiple tasks, and work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Operations. Monthly achievements will be reported to the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Fundraising:
· Build and communicate a yearly fundraising plan
· Plan and execute each fundraising event utilizing volunteers when possible
· Obtain sponsorships for each event
· Cultivate and nurture relationships with key sponsors, donors, and business partners
· Research, write, and submit relevant grant proposals and ensure the audit requirements for each awarded grant are met to achieve the fundraising goals of the budget
· Track progress toward established plans and proactively follow up with donors
Marketing:
· Build an annual communication plan
· Build materials for fundraising, ministry, and church relations events.
· Organize activities/materials and engage support from volunteers when possible
· Monitor social media channels and post information to support the communication plan
· Establish and develop community outreach and marketing of Love INC via use of social media, website, email, mail, church bulletins, and attendance at local civic groups
· Summarize operations weekly and report to the Executive Director
· Be a spokesperson and advocate for Love INC. Share the mission and goals of Love INC to churches, hospitals, the community, businesses and individual partners
SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong team player and an ability to work with a variety of personalities, but also possess the ability to work independently and take initiative
· Ability to build trust and rapport easily
· Demonstrated experience working with all of the following or similar products: Canva, Constant Contact, WordPress, Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint), Google products, and social media platforms
· Experience writing and submitting grant requests
· Experience planning and executing fundraising events
· Experience planning and executing marketing projects
· Comfortable with public speaking and presentations
· Ability to teach and influence others
· Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and under pressure
· Willingness/enthusiasm for accepting responsibility and accountability
· Strong attention to details
REQUIREMENTS:
· Occasional flexibility beyond normal business hours (Mon – Thurs 9am-2pm) for special events
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Able to lead volunteer staff in a positive and productive fashion
· Ability to work successfully on multiple projects

· Ability to drive to events, donors, or sponsors (active Driver License is required)
· All employees of Love INC of Greater Hershey are required to produce current documentation or obtain the PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and an FBI Criminal Record Check
EVALUATIONS:
The Fundraising/Marketing Manager’s performance will be reviewed by the Executive Director semi-annually.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of three years of experience developing and implementing fundraising and marketing plans, building relationships, and proactively following up with donors
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
