Job Description
As a Functional Business Analyst at Fortune Brands Innovation, your primary responsibility will be to implement the organization's technology strategy in line with its business objectives. You will be instrumental in collecting, evaluating, and formalizing business requirements, while also contributing to the creation and implementation of functional solutions. Collaboration with both business stakeholders and technology teams will be essential to ensure the successful completion of projects. Working within a high-performing team, your focus will be on designing and delivering initiatives promptly, utilizing contemporary lean application development methodologies and integrated business systems. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a unique combination of functional expertise, technical acumen, and exceptional business communication skills.
This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in one of our main offices located in Deerfield, IL to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation.
What you will be doing:

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze current business processes, gather detailed requirements, and recommend improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, design thinking workshops, and business analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business processes.
• Translate end-user requirements into epic, user stories, features, and feasible technical specifications.
• Manage end-to-end implementation projects as the scrum master, working closely with the project team to ensure successful completion.
• Run scrum meetings and ensure customer needs are met by certifying deliverables.
• Create and present status reports, and presentations to executive team members and shareholders.
• Participate in system testing activities - Defining test scenarios, preparing test cases, executing test cases and coordinating UAT activities creating as well as documenting and tracking defects, and ensuring the overall quality of the delivered solutions.
• Support change management efforts by assisting in the development of training materials, conducting user training sessions, and providing post-implementation support to end-users.
• Validate that the implemented solutions meet the original business requirements by conducting post-implementation reviews and gathering feedback from users.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a Functional Analyst position, focusing on analyzing and documenting business requirements and implementing solutions for both cloud-enabled and on-premises packaged or custom applications and services.
• 3+ years' experience writing system test cases/scripts, executing test scripts, defects management, project status reporting. Experience using Cucumber or any other testing tool.
• 2+ years of working experience using scrum methodology with the role of Scrum Master.
• 1+ years of experience with systems functional design, design thinking, writing training documents and leading change management.
• Good understanding of technology concepts and familiarity with software development methodologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced stakeholder negotiation, change management, conflict resolution capabilities, teamwork and general project management skills.
• Familiarity with relevant programming languages, databases, and software tools.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Functional Analyst (CFA), Quality Assurance, PMI-ACP, CSM is a plus.
• Knowledge in the Manufacturing domain is a plus.
