Full-Time Wedding Cake Order Specialist

If you would love to work for a local, family owned bakery in a customer focused position, we would love for you to join our Wedding Department team assisting couples in making their Wedding Cake dreams come true!

The Wedding Cake Order Specialist will conduct Wedding Cake appointments out of our Bethel Park location. Consultations will be done via Zoom, with couples, as well as their families, to discuss Wedding Cake options; which include, size, design and flavors. In addition, the Wedding Cake Order Specialist will follow-through with all of the details surrounding an order once it is placed with Bethel Bakery.

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing above and beyond, excellent customer service to customers, vendors and visitors.
• Answering and returning phone calls, messages and emails in a timely and efficient manner.
• Providing accurate information to questions posed by customers, clients, vendors and co-workers.
• Accurately completing Wedding Cake Orders and payments in our POS system.
• Communicating with wedding vendors, as well as confirming details and delivery schedules.
• Maintaining relationships with wholesale accounts.
• Coordinating and attending bridal shows.
• Assembling cake and cookie sample boxes for couples.
• Keeping abreast of new innovations and trends in Wedding Cakes.
• Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.

Education/Experience Needed

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous office, customer service, sales and/or phone experience preferred.
• Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Point of Sale (POS) systems and Zoom meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed

• Strong communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written, to be able to interface with customers, vendors and visitors, as well as other departments, in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work in a supportive team environment.
• Impeccable attention to detail and presentation.
• Excellent organizational skills and effective time management skills.
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic.

Hours

• FULL-TIME; 40 HOURS/WEEK
• Tuesdays-Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with the ability to work one weekday from 12 p.m.-8 p.m., as well as occasional Sundays in order to attend scheduled Bridal Shows.
• Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Year?s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

Work Location

• 5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102; must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate prior to starting work.
