Job Description
The Lilac City Early Learning Center staff is excited to add to our team. We are looking for a dependable, caring teacher to serve as an assistant, working with our Toddler group. Ratios for Toddler classes are 1 to 4 with groups of 8 kids total.
Applicants could also be considered for Float staff positions that work in multiple classrooms with more flexibility for scheduling.

Job duties include:
To arrive ready to work at scheduled time and be prepared to stay until shift is over
Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child
Assist in completing quarterly assessment of children's development
Maintain daily open communication with parents
Maintain confidentiality
Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
Maintain a safe and healthy environment
Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
Attend in-service and staff meetings
Keep all appropriate records such as attendance, medication, incident reports and time sheets
Meet all applicable licensing regulations
Wear child friendly clothing and accessories
Update and maintain online records through MERIT
Hourly pay: Depending on experience
All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain upon hire:
Negative TB Test (past 12 months), Proof of MMR Vaccination, Blood Borne Pathogens training, WA Food Handlers Certificate, Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Certification, DCYF Background Check, DCYF Mandatory Trainings (online) and 30 Hour Basic STARS training (within 90 days of hire).
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $17.03 - $20.73/hour.
