PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT (PCA) / SENIOR CAREGIVER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Caregiver is responsible for providing care, support and companionship for our clients so that they can stay in their home and continue to live independently. Duties may include personal grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, transporting the client run errands, medication reminders and accompanying the client to any doctor's appointments.

*We are hiring for a full-time caregiver that can work Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm*

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Following the client's personalized care plan
- Documenting all tasks completed and observations in client notes
- Assists the client with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assists the client with getting on and off toilet, as well as changing her depends
- Meal planning, meal prep and light cooking
- Performs light housekeeping duties as needed
- Sorting clothes, doing laundry, and putting away laundry
- Transporting client to run errands
- Medication reminders
- Observing the client's physical, mental and social health and wellness
- Identify the client's needs and work with management to fulfill their needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This is NOT a companion position. Our caregivers assist with personal hygiene, elimination, cooking, cleaning and doing laundry. Must have a caregiver's heart & a natural desire to help others.
- Must have patience, compassion & strong work ethic
- Must be reliable and show up, on time, for every shift
- Must be able to help client get in and out of tub
- Must be able to help client get on and off toilet
- Must be able to help client get in and out of her wheelchair
- Must be able to cook and prepare meals
- Must be able and willing to wash dishes, clean bathroom, sweep, mop, dust and vacuum
- Caregiving experience required
- A valid driver's license is required for certain clients
- Must have valid Tuberculosis (TB) test results or Chest X-ray less than 1 year old
- Must pass CPR training & certification
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must successfully pass Personal Care Assistant (PCA) training
- Must have patience, compassion and attention to detail
- Must have a reliable, internet connected mobile device for clocking in and out
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Caregiver must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop to complete the required tasks i.e. sweeping, mopping, cleaning the tub
- Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds, i.e. carrying groceries, carrying laundry, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Rotating weekends
