Full Time Sales Associate

The primary objective of the Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service to all customers as well as support the management team with daily store operations including opening and closing the store including the garden center. This position is hourly, non-exempt, and ranges from part to Full Time and requires evenings and weekends.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent and consistent service to all customers through building relationships with them and working to solve their pet and garden supply needs.

Operations

• Follow all store policies, procedures and safety protocol accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with processing incoming merchandise accurately and efficiently including pricing and merchandising.
• Open and close the store following all opening and closing procedures.
• Conduct sales, refunds and other in-store and online transactions through the POS system, assist customers with carry-outs and curb-side pickups.
• Proficient in all necessary POS procedures with ability to problem solve.
• Continually work to improve product knowledge.
• Assist with store cleaning, organization and other daily tasks and special projects as assigned.

Marketing

· Maintain store presentation, cleanliness and displays within the Molly’s aesthetic in both the pet and garden areas of the store.

• Promote the brand of Molly’s in the store through visual merchandising.
• Support the team by participating in events as scheduled.

Financial Management

• Demonstrate proficiency in all relevant cash handling procedures.
• Be aware of sales goals and work to achieve and exceed them.

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

This position requires standing and walking for up to 10 hours per day. It also requires lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, bending, and climbing during the shifts to complete the required tasks.

Skills and Experience:

· Minimum 1 year of previous retail experience preferred.

· Minimum 1 years of POS experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• A love for pets, plants, and their nutritional needs.
• Pet product and/or plant care expertise preferred.
• Enjoys serving customers to help them solve their challenges.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with team members as well as individually.

· Ability to learn processes quickly and execute with efficiency.

Pay: $17.76 - $19.02 per hour
