Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with patients to help them regain movement and manage pain following injuries or illnesses. You will develop personalized treatment plans, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories and physical conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, self-care techniques, and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working with geriatric patients is preferred
- Familiarity with acute care settings is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a skilled nursing facility
