We are now seeking Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who will be in charge of transforming the lives of individuals who suffer from disabling injuries and diseases. Applicants with no prior experience are encouraged to apply. We provide intensive training in which you will learn the skills required to care for our patients while also building a network with other healthcare professionals in your area.
Duties
- Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients within the Nursing Assistant's scope of practice that includes actions that meet psychosocial needs and physical needs
- Assists in admission, transfer and discharge of patient
- Demonstrates ability to assist with feeding patients and maintaining fluid balance with technique appropriate for patient's age and physical condition
- Performs all aspects of Patient Care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors
- Obtains specimens and transports to and sends through the designated department
- Observes and report the patient's status and needs
- Assists physicians and nurses during medical examination and treatment of the patient
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the organization.
- Accurately completes and documents assignments (e.g., vital signs, blood glucose, meals, intake/output, etc.)
- Maintains equipment; ensuring equipment is clean and in working order; assures supplies are adequate
Requirements
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
- Attention to detail
- Ability to withstand work of a physical nature
- Maintains confidentiality at all times
- Must be 18 years old and above
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Ability to undergo criminal and drug background check
