Soliant, a leading healthcare staffing and recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team near Harrisburg, PA. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential by providing therapeutic services within the educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement therapy interventions in the classroom.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Assist in the selection and use of adaptive equipment to support students' participation in school activities.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for school staff and parents to promote understanding and support for students with occupational therapy needs.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Valid Occupational Therapist State licensure.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
