Kidsborough is excited to announce the opening of littleborough; a childcare center working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a state-of-the art space. Our pilot program in Hopkinton, MA will ideally be the first of many. We are eager to bring on creative, dynamic and caring individuals to help build a supportive environment. As Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for overseeing the toddler classrooms and ensuring that littleborough’s philosophies are being carried out on a daily basis.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Must meet EEC Lead Toddler Teacher requirements
Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related
Previous experience as a lead teacher in a toddler classroom preferred
Reliable, passionate and motivated to provide the highest quality care
Must be flexible and able to work between the hours of 7a.m. and 6 p.m. (Monday through Friday) all year round.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, healthy and welcoming environment for children; providing direct supervision when in ratio.
- Collaborate with the director and staff to create and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that is in support of play-based learning.
- Assist the director in the management of your classroom: participating in support staff interviews, procuring supplies, collaborating on food menus, etc.
- Support other lead teachers in their development of curriculum when possible.
- Work with assistant teachers to document and share daily child milestones, observations, progress reports, and other reports as required by the EEC.
- Clearly and effectively communicate with children, parents and staff while fostering an overall positive and respectful environment.
- Share ideas in planning a daily schedule which provides a balance of activities: quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor, social/emotional, etc.
- Respect and observe children's interests and needs.
- Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
