The Customer Service Specialist is an individual who provides administrative support functions to the Home Health agency. This individual will strive hard to provide the best professional, high-level Customer Service for the clients of the company. This individual will also assist in developing Customer Service standards, policies, and procedures for the companies. The Customer Services Specialist will be trained to backup Patient Intake/Admissions, and Scheduling.
- Interacting with clients, providing information in response to inquiries about services.
- Taking service inquiry calls from clients and addressing questions or concerns.
- Handling and resolving client complaints via email or phone.
- Investigating and correcting issues, following company policy.
- Interviewing clients to acquire information and explain available services.
- Coordinating clients service requirements with appropriate clinicians as necessary to ensure effective client service.
- Referring complaints of service failure or errors to appropriate management for investigation.
- Communication of solutions, successes, and opportunities to management.
- Ability to interpret and communicate information both written and oral
- Strong background in Customer Service and/or sales
- Effective communicator with clear and professional written and oral skills
- Excellent phone manner
- Ability to communicate cross-functionally to all levels within the company
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Actively seeks solutions through logical reasoning and interpretation of information
- Identifies trends to appropriate channel – with potential suggestions for improvement
- Maintain a high level of Customer Service professionalism to a wide range of customers
- Triage issues and escalate appropriately
- Build brand loyalty
- Develop innovative processes that improve customer experience
- Driven to build a positive customer experience
- High school diploma or general education from an accredited institution.
- Prefer Medical/Healthcare, patient intake/admissions experience.
- Experience in Customer Service activities.
- Calmness under pressure and ability to document client records in timely and accurate manner
- Good decision-making, communication, and IT skills.
- Ability to encourage and motivate people with a responsible attitude.
- Interest in helping and speaking to clients.
- Should have sound practical judgment of priorities.
