Full Time Firefighter/Paramedic

Shavers Fork Fire Rescue is hiring Firefighter/Paramedics to join our skilled team of personnel that provides primary Fire and EMS coverage for Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort. At an elevation of 4,848 feet, there are numerous beautiful views, hiking trails, streams, skiing, and mountain biking trails to enjoy on your days off. Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency 911 calls and provide medical assistance as a Firefighter/Paramedic
- Perform fire and rescue operation duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and provide appropriate medical treatment
- Operate at BLS/ALS levels by monitoring vital signs and provide necessary interventions to stabilize patients
- Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and vehicles
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification as a Paramedic or Firefighter/Paramedic
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate firefighting equipment effectively
- Proficient in providing first aid, CPR, advanced and basic life support
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and the public effectively

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
