What We're Seeking:

Behavior Technician
Location: Oakland Region, covering Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, and surrounding cities within 35 miles of Oakland, CA.

Requirements:

• Experience with children is essential.
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking is a plus but not mandatory.

RBT Supervision and Training:

• New hires schedule the RBT exam within 100 days of employment (exam fee reimbursed).
• Training is compensated.
• Upon RBT certification, receive a $1 raise.
• Potential promotion to Registered Field Trainer (RFT) after 6 months as an RBT.

Job Details:

• Full-time hours may be available for candidates with open availability 9:00AM-7:30PM Monday- Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Implement ABA-based programs to enhance communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
• Maintain positive relationships with supervisors, teams, and families.
• Document and track client progress consistently.
• Address challenging behaviors effectively.
• Ensure confidentiality of client information.
• Travel to client homes and community settings.
• Perform tasks like diapering/toileting and sanitizing toys/work surfaces if required.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly engage in physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and crawling on the floor.
• Exhibit manual dexterity for data entry and use of electronic devices.
• Specific vision and auditory abilities as detailed in the job description.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to drive a motor vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
