Job Description
Location: Carmel, Indiana; Eagan, Minnesota; or Little Rock, Arkansas
As MISO’s Full Stack Web Developer (C#, JavaScript) you will work on the public-facing website – www.misoenergy.org! You’ll build critical applications used to monitor and manage the Midwest power grid and develop the code base and processes which support the public website. Collaborate with business and technology partners across MISO to improve the public website’s ability to deliver effective services to our members and create solutions that can successfully connect multiple systems within the MISO environment.
Some of the exciting things you’ll contribute as MISO’s Full Stack Web Developer include:
- Collaborating with business groups to understand and define application improvements and requirements to enhance the public website’s ability to deliver effective services to our members
- Driving and delivering increments of functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops in an agile environment
- Partnering with architects, database engineers, and other software developers in conceptualizing, initiating, and developing new software programs and applications in a PaaS environment (Optimizely DXP experience preferred).
- Coding, testing, and debugging documents, and delivering modified and new applications
- Ensuring quality through testing automation, including developing the testing automation
- Monitoring production applications for expected performance and responding to errors and issues
- Having the opportunity to use JavaScript outside of the public website realm in support of other systems
You’ll need the following technical skills to be successful as our Full Stack Web Developer:
- C#
- .NET 4+
- JavaScript
- React JS
- Webpack
- HTML, CSS, TypeScript
- SQL
- Test-driven development
- Experience with Optimizely would be great, but not required
This role does require 24x7 on-call shift rotation.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
