Senior Web Engineer - Marketing Software
Location: New York, NY
Have the opportunity to join a Software product firm located in New York City working within their Data, Internal & Web Apps Group working as a Senior Web Engineer on the Web Marketing team. This team manages over 100 websites and services for every business unit within the company, and this team has a diverse codebase to reflect that. On any given day of the week, this team is working on headless front ends, CMS improvements, Alexa skills, platform integrations, or experimenting with any number of novel technologies to support a variety of marketing and philanthropic initiatives.
Bored yet? Impossible. This team doesn’t have people permanently assigned to specific projects; everyone gets a chance to work on any part of the team's portfolio you’re interested in, from front-end to backend, UX to infrastructure. This team does it all, and you'll work directly with stakeholders and other teams to ensure the team is delivering the best quality software in a fast-paced environment.

You'll Need To Have (Required Skills):
• BA, BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field
• 5+ years of Web Development experience maintaining scalable, highly available sites
• A strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
• Knowledge of front-end technologies: JavaScript / ECMAScript (ES5 or ES6), HTML5, CSS3
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language: PHP, NodeJS, Python, Ruby
We'd Love To See (Any of the following skills would be considered a plus):
• DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, containerization)
• Unix/Linux and shell scripting (Bash, Golang, Python)
• Cloud providers and distributed systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Improving site performance (caching, CDNs, database optimization)
