WITHIN YOUR TEAM
X-Rite is searching for a Full Stack .Net Web Developer to work in our global IT Web department. In this role, you will be heavily involved in the design and development of web applications, APIs, and console apps. You will fill a key role in the full product development process including feasibility, requirements, system specifications, integration of hardware, software, and firmware, validation and verification testing, and development of production build tools.
Location: This is a Hybrid position - the team works onsite 2x per week at our Grand Rapids, MI headquarters.
WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Satisfy customers by meeting their expectations regarding quality and delivery of projects, support, and customer service.
  • Adherence to coding and software standard practices in place; with ability to recognize and recommend improvements to the standards.
  • Assist in training and support of the users of the web applications implemented by the team.
  • Maintain accessible and useful documentation for web site and web applications.
  • Assist in maintaining, tuning, and monitoring company web servers for performance, availability, and security; notify the appropriate parties of any potential liabilities or failures.
  • Follow and take a role in refining standards for X-Rite in developing and implementing web applications data access/update methods.
  • Adhere to SDLC standard work (and work with team to continuously improve the process).
  • Recommend changes to the systems or procedures to improve the quality of our websites.
  • Assist in maintaining website visitor/customer privacy & security while visiting website.
  • Participate in Daily Management meetings (and lead meetings on a rotating basis).
  • Provide assistance to the other teams in the IT department as required job functions include but are not limited to those listed.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL WHO HAS:
  • Effective skills of identifying, reproducing, documenting and resolution of software/system/process problems as they arise.
  • An ability to think creatively while still measuring and tracking marketing success across programs.
  • Active structured software development skills in .Net languages (C# and VB.Net), JavaScript, jQuery, MS SQL, and other web languages; willingness to learn, support and recommend new technologies consistent with the company objectives.

YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:
  • High School degree/GED and 4+ years of relevant experience required or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be experienced with .NET programming architecture.
  • Required experience with MVC and Razor pages frameworks.
  • Required experience with C#, MS SQL, Web Languages (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS).
  • Desired experience with Salesforce API, Adobe Commerce, SASS.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to deal effectively with a variety of people (both technical and non-technical).
  • Ability to effectively perform the above-mentioned essential job functions.
