Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Full Stack C# .Net Angular Developer located in Midland, MI! The role will align to Dow's Design Your Day approach and allows employees flexibility by choosing when to work remotely and when to attend on-site activities based on project work and role needs.
About you and this role
As an experienced software developer, you will be responsible for working with a scrum team through the design, development, and implementation of workable digital solutions that meet business and functional stakeholder requirements while exploring and prototyping the latest technologies. You will be a proponent and practitioner of Dow's Agile Scrum methodology and strategy. In this role, you’ll develop complex applications while acting as a team member to streamline business operations and improve overall user experience. In this role, you need to be a self-starter with a strong desire to increase efficiencies and make an impact while contributing to a cross-functional team. Your ability to creatively collaborate and execute team goals will affect scalability and directly contribute to Dow’s mission.
Responsibilities
  • Develops scalable solutions using Angular, C#, .NET, MS SQL Server, Power App, and other open-source frameworks
  • Designs, develops, tests, implements, and delivers complete end-to-end solutions
  • Works on changes concurrently with other developers and manage the code repository
  • Revises designs based on feedback, updates code, refactors, and debugs code as necessary
  • Collaborates with scrum teams to produce software designs led by architects
  • Works closely with various stakeholders to analyze and break down requirements into small, simple, workable deliverables
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years relevant experience, or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant software development experience
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred Skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Familiarity with one of the coding languages (C#, .Net Core, Angular, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5/CSS)
  • General knowledge of information technology work processes, methodologies, and tools (including Agile and Scrum)
  • Excellent communication skills - capable of discussing technical issues and scenarios with customers, understanding the business context, and translating it into technical language
  • Experience or knowledge of Azure Cloud Platform
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Agile software development methodologies and work processes, especially Scrum
  • Familiarity with Code and Frameworks from recent developments: C#, .Net Core, Angular, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5/CSS
  • Experience with database programming using Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
  • Knowledge or experience on UiPath RPA
