ARCXIS is looking for a motivated individual to join our amazing team. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the department in developing a wide variety of systems and technology platforms to support the company. Our department strives to leverage technology to help improve all aspects of our business, from deliverables sent to clients to ultimately lower our total cost of doing business. As a Software Developer you will be instrumental in helping develop the vision of the IT function at ARCXIS.
ARCXIS is an industry leader in Engineering and New Construction Inspections services providing a full range of services to residential builders. Our goal is to assist our customer in building better homes, reducing risk, speeding completion and reducing cost. We conduct over 100 types of inspections and offer an array of services- including engineering, inspecting, forensic inspections, energy efficiency, and HVAC services. We currently operate in 24 states across the United States including 6 of the 10 fastest growing home construction markets and are continuing to expand.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements from End Users by working side by side with them to understand the business processes
- Review existing software projects, for opportunities to refactor and improve the quality.
- Build new functionality to support the business processes
- Support the End Users and Field Team to ensure they are able to support our Customers
- Develop integration and provide ownership of the final product for the business
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience in verifiable .NET n-tier development.
- Knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET 3.5, Microsoft MVC framework, AngularJS.
- Knowledge in software design, object-oriented design and implementation techniques and n-tier application design.
- Practical experience designing and implementing .NET-centric application and Web based Solutions.
- Experience with database design, architecture, and implementation; in particular, design, architecture, and implementation in support of n-tier .NET application architectures.
- Functional expertise in SQL Server.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
- Desire to understand the business functions and how best to support the goals of the business.
- Ability to manage time and work in an organized manner.
- Detailed oriented with the ability to perform the decision-making process in a technical/analytical manner.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during regular business hours, in our corporate location in Houston.
