In this role, you will handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements; and establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business. This short-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Hialeah, Florida.
How you will make an impact
- Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
- Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
- Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
- Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules
- Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing
- Maintaining historical records by filing documents
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
- A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
- 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
- Knowledge of Pivot Table
- Bank reconciliations experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- General ledger experience
- Full charge bookkeeping experience
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Proficiency with Excel and Quickbook
- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
