Position Summary:
Pendulum is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Fulfillment Managerto join our Supply Chain team. This person will ensure we deliver the right quantity of Pendulum’s novel probiotics to the right destination at the right time.

The Fulfillment Manager will support and enable 3PL operations spanning logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution operations from third-party logistics locations. They will work closely with internal inventory planning, sales operations, and marketing teams as well as external logistics service providers to ensure timely and consistent delivery of products category. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a desire to participate in end-to-end supply chain operations. This person will learn the inner workings of a consumer products supply chain as an early member of the supply chain team.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Fulfillment Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring we meet growing customer demand. They will contribute to establishing a strong foundation of best practices that will enable business growth. Our ideal candidate is interested in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, is motivated by seeking efficiencies and solving problems, and is excited by supporting the flow of goods from R&D through to commercialization.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee inventory storage, packing, labeling and shipping operations in collaboration with external (3PL) partners & internal (Customer Experience and Sales Operations) teams to ensure customer orders are processed and shipped on-time, in-full, and in compliance with customer requirements
  • Draft SOPs for special projects and new products related to order fulfillment, such as kitting and assembly, in collaboration with Marketing & Sales teams and train warehouse partners on process compliance to ensure a high-quality delivery experience for Pendulum customers
  • Collaborate with Inventory Planner to ensure inventory is appropriately allocated across distribution centers to fulfill customer orders
  • Monitor 3PL performance on an ongoing basis, direct weekly meetings for improvements and project management, and analyze data and aggregate metrics for continuous improvement & internal reporting
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are clearly defined and achieved by partners
  • Review 3PL invoices for agreement compliance and prepare reports and data as needed for accounting & finance collaborators; seeking opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Contribute to capacity planning initiatives and ensure all materials are stored in appropriate conditions
  • Support customer integration and onboarding, collaborating with Customer Experience, Sales Operations, and Systems teams as needed
  • Responsible for month-end reconciliation with 3PL
  • Identify and qualify new partners to meet Pendulum’s growing needs and requirements
  • Identify & implement process improvements for fulfillment procedures to support the business as it grows

Knowledge Requirements:

  • B.S. in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 5-8 years fulfillment operations management or relevant supply chain experience in a start-up environment
  • Experience developing 3PL relationships both domestic and internationally; experience managing cold chain logistics and warehousing operations
  • Foundational ERP knowledge, experience with NetSuite highly preferred; proven ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; advanced math and Excel skills
  • Analytical and methodical approach to information management
  • Continuous improvement and growth-mindset; seeks opportunities for efficiency, is confident to raise them, and capable to address them
  • Flexible and adaptable to a quickly evolving, dynamic start-up environment
  • Passion for entrepreneurship and a bias for action, a self-starter who is results oriented, resourceful, and organized
