Summary:
We are currently seeking a Bail Fugitive Recovery Agent for our San Jose office. The ideal candidate should possess 2-5 years of investigations experience. In this role, the Bail Fugitive Recovery Agent will be responsible for all aspects of handling and managing bail forfeiture cases to include conducting interviews, surveillance, report writing, locating and apprehending bail fugitive defendants as well as other investigative services.
Responsibilities:
- Work in the field, manage and handle forfeiture cases within their geographic zone.
- Review case files to verify that all proper documents are in file.
- Check court status on a regular basis
- Run custody checks on a daily basis
- Court research
- Ability to conduct interviews, makes physical arrests, and conduct surveillance in an indefinite amount of time.
- Responsible for logging daily activity on each case that is worked and provide written updates to management on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for writing declarations to provide good cause for a court extension or exoneration of a bond and testify in court when necessary
- Required the ability to manage a case load of at least 15 to 20 cases to reduce company liability.
- The Investigator is also responsible for keeping track of the time spent on each case and submit a billing invoice on a weekly basis.
- Conduct database searches; social media investigations, travel out of state when necessary
- Other projects assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- Candidates must have completed a 40-hour power of arrest course certified by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training pursuant to Section 832 PC.
- Candidates must have completed a minimum of 12 hours of classroom education certified pursuant to section 1810.7 of the Insurance Code
- Candidates must have completed a course of training in the exercise of the power to arrest offered pursuant to Section 7583.7 of the Business and Professions Code
- Candidates must have a clean criminal background
- Candidates must possess a California Guard Card
- Candidates must possess a California Exposed Firearms Permit
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
