FTTH QC Engineer

Position Description: SQUANs Engineering team is seeking Fiber Design Quality Control Engineers with fiber-to-the-home design experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in design for FTTH including permit civil design and fiber design and architecture.RESPONSIBILITIES* Utilize PDF editing software to produce detailed redlines of civil engineering and fiber designs* Provide feedback based on QC findings* Understand and be able to redline multiple fiber architectures* Consistent updates to project trackers* Provide effective communication to all team members* Must have a working knowledge or NESC clearance requirements and standards for Make Ready Engineering (MRE)* Familiar with permitting standardsREQUIREMENTS* 4 years of telecommunications design experience * 2+ years of recent experience utilizing AutoCAD to create fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) designs including assigning fiber counts* Bluebeam experience highly preferred; Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF editing software acceptable* Experience utilizing Excel, SiteTracker, etc. to track progres* Ability to train and create training documents* Proficient in Windows operating system environment with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.)* Ability to read and extract ROW maps ABOUT YOU* Exhibits effective communication skills* Motivated to adapt to industry changes* Maintains a solid work ethic* Highly organized and tracking-minded* Believes that the quality of our product drives individual and team successABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for OSP QC Engineers to help us build the best network.
