Ft Retail/Wholesale/Sharpening

Perfect Edge Cutlery & Sharpening in San Mateo, CA seeking a FT team member. Retail & Wholesale Customer Service while beginning training in our Perfect Edge Sharpening Method. The right person will know what they can add to the team so it’s important to know how we could grow together. This is a career position that has growth potential.

WHO WE ARE

We are a 30-year-old family owned and operated Cutlery Store & Mobile Sharpening Service. We also manufacture sharpening equipment and knives.

In the store and commercial trucks, we sell knives and provide commercial and retail sharpening services. Solidly established as a comprehensive resource to the professional culinary community and residents in the SF Bay Area. We focus on our personal connection and the quality and depth of experience-based knowledge and service we provide to our customers.

We have developed and support a national network of affiliated sharpening businesses using our Training, Equipment, Abrasives, Cutlery.

Our unique staff brings diverse knowledge and perspective to a team with complimentary skills & knowledge. We are busy and growing in this challenging time. Our e-commerce and social media presence are a new dimension and a priority project.

WHAT WE NEED

A Key FT person. Your primary focus is helping our customers find cutlery and sharpening solutions and presenting our company’s business philosophy and solutions consistently. You will work in the store while cross training in our Perfect Edge Sharpening method.

You will be listening to customers' requests, while determining the appropriate recommendations for knives, supplies and services that fit their needs. Identifying professional culinary and home users needs appropriately and relaying which of our services they would be most satisfied with.

To fit into our team, you work with a sense of urgency and enjoy working in a cross-trained dynamic environment. Being skilled at interacting with a diverse group of people and cultures is necessary. Multi language would be a huge plus as our customers are from all around the globe as are our products.

REQUIREMENTS

 You are motivated, enthusiastic, outgoing, and reliable with the willingness/desire to learn.

 Customer service experience in a related field such as cutlery, sharpening, grocery, retail, commercial service-based business, or hospitality.

 Knowledge in knives or sharpening that relates to our business and the job.

 Technical proficiency with retail and mobile technology is necessary.

 Available to work 40 hours/week, including weekends.

 At least 18 years of age or older.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
