Ft Product Packer Weekdays (No Evenings Or Weekends)

Midwest Hearth – Product Packer

Responsibilities

• Repackage bulk goods into retail sized packaged goods
• Use correct package dimensions and weights for each item
• Apply correct retail labelling to package
• Case pack retail goods as needed
• Bring completed product to appropriate warehouse location
• Help warehouse as needed with basic tasks (i.e. barcoding, organizing, inventory counts)
• Assist with keeping production area clean and organized

Requirements

• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to bend and reach to move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Works well independently and as part of a team

Safety

• Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Non-slip shoes or boots
• Protective clothing as needed (gloves, pants, masks, etc.)
• Use appropriate lifting techniques and ask for help if needed
• If using a ladder for top-shelf items, request a team member to help

General

• Start work on time
• Maintain a high level of productivity
• Cell phone use should be limited to streaming music
• Communicate any schedule requests with Production Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
