The Recovery Village at Miami Baptist Health
is seeking an experienced Full Time Certified Medical Assistant to join our Outpatient Team in Miami, FL!
Fluent Spanish and English required!
Pay starts at $23 per hour and goes up commensurate with experience
Shift hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Previous experience with Avatar EMR is helpful.
Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders and mental health issues. We put behavioral health front and center, providing assistance to people with substance abuse issues, addictions and mental health concerns.
Pay Minimum: USD $23.00/Hr. Pay Maximum: USD $25.00/Hr. Responsibilities:
- Interacts with patients in a professional manner.
- Performs breathalyzer on patients as deemed necessary.
- Performs Rapid COVID-19 tests on patients as deemed necessary.
- Manages obtaining and reading of urine drug screens and urine pregnancy tests as ordered.
- Manages and is responsible for medication administration observation processes.
- Maintains a professional atmosphere both on the telephone and in the waiting area.
- Knows the whereabouts of patients on a continuous basis.
- Assists with projects from other departments as necessary.
- Attends staff meetings when necessary.
- Maintains confidentiality pertaining to clients and families.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
- Higher Education in a business-related field preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a professional medical office setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Medical Assistant (MA) REQUIRED
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification
