We are currently looking to hire someone who is energetic and out going to join our office family as our Dental Insurance Coordinator. This position requires you to be responsible for working with insurance companies to verify patients’ benefits. You should be proficient in using Eaglesoft or similar software to update each patient’s benefits as reflected by their eligibility.
To be successful as a Dental Insurance Coordinator, you must be very detail orientated. You should also be able to work closely with our treatment plan coordinator to ensure all benefits are current and as accurate as possible. An outstanding Dental Insurance Coordinator should achieve excellent customer service, and share a professional relationship with insurance companies to ensure success in balancing patient benefits with insurance payments.
Dental Insurance Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Verifying patient’s Dental insurance benefits.
- Navigate benefits via eligibility provided by the Insurance Company to provide detailed break down to other staff members.
- Uploading and entering data using Eaglesoft.
- Contacting patients to update insurance information via phone.
- Greeting and checking in patients.
- Answering calls and scheduling appointments.
- Address scheduling concerns.
- Check out and post payments made by patients.
Dental Insurance Coordinator Requirements:
- High school degree, GED or related.
- Minimum of 2 years in a dentist office environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient with data entry.
- Experience with Eaglesoft is preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of dental procedures and insurance billing codes.
