We are currently looking for a warm and welcoming Front Office Agent that will help ensure every guest is being acknowledged by acting as the face of the hotel. If you love meeting new people, and being of service, we'd love to chat! A Front Office Agent will:
- Interact with guests daily in person and over the phone and takes action to improve guest satisfaction through training, coaching and problem resolution.
- Communicates with the Engineering Department regarding any maintenance requests from the guests.
- Communicates with the Housekeeping Department regarding guest rooms and requests.
- Has full understanding of hotel software system and assists with reservations, and checking guests in and out of the hotel.
- Knows how and where to post all charges.
- Handles credit cards and cash received from the guests for payment of hotel charges.
- Assist the valet department in retrieving vehicles for guest and luggage assistance when needed
- Assists the Front Office Manager by handling special requests, group blocking and unusual circumstances.
- Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
- Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
- Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES:
- Must have schedule flexibility to be on call for various shifts weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays, and overnights
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs plus stand, walk and move around during entire 8 hour shift
- Must be computer efficient, and computer literate to operate basic windows PC programs and operate online database which hosts Hotel's property management system (PMS). Basic cashier skills to receive credit card and cash payments from guests required as well
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
