Do you love running front end loaders? Like seeing mountains of material move on the daily? We operate Case 821 and 921 loaders with 5 and 10 yard buckets to run our compost manufacturing business. In a given week you may run a product screening plant, load out trucks, or help move stockpiles around the site. Whatever the task you will be part of a small team making high-end compost from waste derived products. Our work makes a difference for our community and our planet.
The ideal operator has an eye for detail and would take pride in keeping machines dialed in to perform to the best of their abilities. A successful candidate should be able to think a few steps ahead to ensure that we are running efficiently. The ability to perform routine maintenance on machines is important.
Balanced work schedule, 10 days PTO, 9 paid holidays, benefits, profit share, matching retirement plan, plus company events like rafting, camping, and happy hours. The work is challenging and demanding everyday, but our culture and work/life balance are different from the other equipment operator positions posted here. We demand a lot for 40 hours a week, but we also want you to have a full life outside of work. Come join the Dirt Hugger team by working, living, and playing in the Columbia River Gorge!
This position is full time, year-round. You would work 4/10’s (although some overtime is available in the spring).
Start date would be immediate if we get the right applicant.
