Job Description
The Hillsboro Club is looking for an experienced Front Gate Security Agent to support the gate operations at our gorgeous property. This position will be responsible for greeting members and employees, phone answering, and following proper monitoring procedures to ensure the safety of our club members and employees. We are looking for someone who is respectful, friendly, reliable and is passionate about working in hospitality.
The Club operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation of $14 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to competitive pay, our employees also have access to health insurance, and opportunities for advancement within the company.
General Requirements:
- Front Gate security must stand and greet everyone that approaches the gate seeking access to the property, in a friendly and professional manner.
- Front Gate security is to provide informational assistance as required. Knowledge of locations throughout the property in order to properly direct traffic within the Club.
- Front Gate security will record all traffic entering the property both vehicular and pedestrian.
- Front Gate security will observe, record, and communicate actions, activities, incidents and/or any information that may be of the interest of the Management Office, Security or the Front Desk personnel.
- Front Gate security will ensure that only Authorized Personnel is allowed access into the community.
- Front Gate security will always use proper telephone etiquette when speaking or answering the telephone.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of the club's policies and procedures and enforce them as necessary.
- Respond to any emergencies or incidents on the property and handle them according to established protocols.
- Keep the entrance and surrounding areas clean and free of debris.
- May work in night time conditions.
- Frequent exposure to hot, sunny, humid, cold or rainy conditions.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous service in the US Armed Forces; local police, state police or Sheriff’s Office desirable.
- Knowledge of applicable state and local laws and the club’s policies and procedures, including enforcement of covenants.
- Demonstrate self-restraint in challenging unruly or unauthorized guests or service providers or in handling other difficult situations.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling, repetitive motions, standing and walking.
