Front-end Software EngineerWhat does a successful Front-end Software Engineer do at Fiserv?
- You'll bring an open and creative mindset to a global team developing and maintaining applications, user interfaces and much more to deliver industry-leading financial services technologies to our clients.
- You'll solve challenging problems quickly and with quality as you lead, mentor, guide, and work with the development team to create industry leading frameworks and leverage developer tools to deliver with speed and quality.
What you will do:
- Maintain engineering and technology excellence while working across multiple groups to drive solutions that are client-centric and provide a broader view of what else is possible
- Identify promising opportunities to improve engineering velocity through systems and tools
- Discover and apply technical insights that inform, enable, and drive product innovation to deliver solutions and product capabilities with speed and quality using your UI development expertise
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and design solutions to fulfill those requirements
- Identify root cause of production issues and provide immediate solution and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring issues in production moving forward (RCA)
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and BootStrap
- 5+ years of experience with Angular and React
- 4+ years of experience with NodeJS
- 3+ years of experience with performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest
- 2+ years of experience in payment processing platforms
What would be great to have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Knowledge of Scala
- Experience with building one-pager applications
- Experience building UI architecture from scratch
- Experience with React hooks
- Experience working with upgrading versions of React/Angular
- Experience in continuous deployment using IntelliJ, GIT, BitBucket, and local development servers
