Front Desk/Billing Clerk
Job Summary:
This is an entry-level position that provides front desk service customer service and billing support.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for billing including posting payments, account maintenance, issuing bills, assisting customers with concerns, researching discrepancies and troubleshooting. Works directly with Diversion and Ascension Water Companies for billing/customer issues.
- Facilitates payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Answers a high-volume of incoming phone calls in a professional manner, routes calls as necessary. Ensures after hours answering service company receives business calls; retrieves and disperses messages accordingly and timely.
- Greets vendors, customers and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude; directs them around the office.
- Keeps a safe, clean and presentable reception area and conference room.
- Assists with mail collection and distribution.
- Provides excellent customer service; assists with a variety of administrative tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
- Proficient computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7am-4pm
Friday: 7am - 11am
National Water Infrastructure, (NWI) serves over 18,000 customers and operates approximately 400 lift-stations and sewer treatment systems in developments throughout Ascension, Iberville, Livingston, and East Baton Rouge parishes. All of the systems are maintained in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
NWI is dedicated to helping maintain a cleaner environment with long-term goals to provide regional sewer treatment and return the cleanest effluent discharge water possible back into the environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
