Front Desk Representative

We are looking to fill multiple Front Desk Representative positions for our New Mexico Sleep Labs located at Las Cruces . There are permanent and temporary positions available. A qualified candidate could have Medical Front Desk experience with excellent customer service skills and reliable.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet patients as soon as they arrive at the office
• Validate patient's appointments, insurance coverage, and demographic information
• Update patient change of information in system (insurance, demo, etc)
• Check for referrals/status of authorizations for appointment
• Collect patient co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Schedule return appointments according to physician orders
• Void/Cancel No-Show appointments
• Scan patient's documents into system as necessary (ex: insurance cards, identification, referrals, other documents)
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
• Must comply with Patient Confidentiality and HIPAA

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Private and Public Health Insurance coverage and guidelines
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service attitude
• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.40 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
