SalaryVery busy Orthopaedic/Podiatry clinic looking for an positive, energetic, and friendly individual who wants to be a part of a team and loves to interact with patients. Candidate must be able to multitask, have a calm demeanor, and be dependable. Ideal candidate would possess knowledge in insurance benefits. Position is Monday-Friday and hours are 8:30am-5:30pm but at times there is a need to rotate between 6:45am-5:30pm when needing to cover coworkers being out.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Greets patients at desk and maintains a professional, carrying and helpful attitude.
2. Performs all necessary check in and checkout procedures in EMR with required chart documentation.
3. Directs patients to appropriate departments, as needed.
4. Schedule subsequent patient appointments as outlined by physician.
5. Documents patient communication in EMR system (cancels, N/S, patient questions/concerns, etc).
6. Scans documents into EMR system (insurance cards, patient chart documentation, etc).
7. Collects and processes patients’ payment for co-payments, deductibles and/or outstanding balances as necessary. Reconciles payment transactions daily to be sent to business office.
8. Send and receive fax documentation, file and scan documentation into patient chart as necessary and in a timely manner.
9. Assign in-coming faxed documents in EMR system to appropriate staff.
10. Stock and maintain inventory in breakrooms and report items needed.
11. Ensures compliance with HIPAA, patient privacy and all other applicable regulations and laws while interacting with patients and staff.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
