Spring Creek Kennel & Cattery is a family owned dog and cat boarding facility in Spring Valley, CA. We are seeking a full-time Front Desk Lead/receptionist who is knowledgeable about pets, customer service oriented, enthusiastic and hard-working.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Personally perform all tasks of Kennel Attendant proficiently as needed. This includes but is not limited to the following: Hourly Cleaning, Dishes, Wysiwashing, Mopping, Vacuuming, Laundry, Feeding, Medicating, Deep Cleaning Tasks etc.
- Work as the team leader to ensure a high quality of animal welfare is maintained
- Exhibit honesty, discretion and sound judgment
- Promote positive work morale by maintaining a positive outlook
- Display a genuine liking for people and pets with a desire to make the customer experience pleasant and welcoming
- Maintain composure and friendly demeanor while dealing with stressful situations
- Give professional and friendly tours to clients
- Answer phone with professionalism
- Provide excellent customer service with a smile
- Check in pets for boarding, ensuring all paperwork is complete and information is up to date in computer, run cards are accurate and flea checks are done
- Check out pets with details of their stay including any pertinent information
- Process Payments
- Schedule Reservations and Call Veterinarians for Vaccinations
- Provide Grooming Services when necessary (Flea Baths, Nail Trim, etc.)
- Administer Medications and be confident pilling pets if needed
- Ensure all pets are fed, medicated, watered, exercised and in good health
The following Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience are required for this job title:
- Must be able to swim. There is a pool on-site at one of our locations
- Must have experience with dogs and cats of all breeds and ages
- Must genuinely enjoy taking care of animals and putting their well-being first.
- Demonstrate proficiency with desktop applications (Atlantis, Outlook, Word etc.)
- Strong problem solver that excels in a fast-paced environment

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Possess high energy, enthusiasm and maintain a persistent mind-set

- Flexible Availability. MUST be Able to work any shift and must be available weekends and holidays.

- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
Must be able to work closely with animal dander/hair. Our facility is drug and alcohol free and all employees are subject to testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
