FRONT DESK SALES ASSOCIATE
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Guest Expert (GE) supports and enhances the Sit Still guest experience by completing the duties and responsibilities seen below with a positive, solution-based attitude. The GE is an integral part of the Sit Still team as a whole and helps to ensure the Salon environment is inviting, clean, and joyful.
While the GE is attentive to the needs of all guests that call, email or visit the Salon, the role of the GE goes far beyond processing transactions. This member of the team is an educator of Sit Still services and retail shop products, thereby being a key contributor to Salon sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Guest Experience: Interaction with the GE is the first introduction guests have to the Salon, and the GE is aware of the significance this first impression has on the overall guest experience.
Tasks Include:
- Schedule client appointments made via phone and online booking inquiries using our operating system, Boulevard
- Rebook guests for their next appointment.
- Process transactions at time of service.
- Ensure the salon runs efficiently during each shift, utilizing downtime away from working directly with guests to complete daily and/or weekly checklists.
- Manage cleaning protocols for the salon.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the guest experience and communicate these opportunities in the daily notes to the Salon Manager.
- Relaying all important messages and guest communication that requires follow-up to the GE working the next shift.
- As a Nail Specialist, we would have you handle all manicure requests that come into the salon.
- Also, help set up birthday parties and paint nails for attendees.
(2) Sales: The entire Salon team, including Front Desk staff, is responsible for meeting sales goals.
Tasks include:
- Understand product lines, and be able to speak to the value of each item in the Retail Shoppe
- At point of sale, support product based education initiated by the Stylist during the appointment
- Follow communication protocols to educate guests on additional services and events offered at Sit Still
- Inventory management: track backbar usage, inventory levels, re-orders of supplies and retail as needed.
- 10 floating hours a month for editing documents and schedule management as assigned.
(3) Retail Sales: The entire salon team, including Front Desk staff, is responsible (and bonused!) for meeting sales goals.
Tasks include:
- Understand product lines, and be able to speak to the value of each item in the retail shop.
- At point of sale, support product based education initiated by the Stylist during the appointment.
- Follow communication protocols to educate guests on additional services and events offered at Sit Still.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
