WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
· We are looking for a creative Freelance Stylist to assist and contribute fresh perspectives to our photography team as the department undertakes big projects throughout the year.
· Preference will be given to those with experience with ecommerce photography as well as styling and propping home/lifestyle environments. Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.
· We will require one or two days of paid “test days” to assess skill level and how well one works with in-house team members.
Key Responsibilities
· Produce high quality EComm imagery ranging from silos to simple scenes (vignettes) and lifestyle shots.
· Collaborate with photographer to produce short form sales videos and social media content.
· Follow style guides to successfully create all required imagery according to brand/ product type.
· Ability to understand creative direction from creative director/lead stylist and execute on set for approval.
· Occasionally source props, food, and botanicals if a project requires it.
· Self-motivated to move studio schedule forward by checking in with production coordinator.
· Willingness to assist other team members on set no matter how big or small the task.
· Team player, able to work well with in house team to maintain a fun and productive environment.
· Strong time management skills to move projects along without sacrificing quality styling.
· Able to multitask various projects.
Requirements:Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of on-set styling experience as primary stylist or assistant, preferably in the lifestyle and home décor arenas.
· Highly evolved sense of composition, taste level, and trend awareness.
· Thorough understanding of different home décor styles.
· Efficient and effective communicator.
· Strong knowledge of tools and techniques of prop/ soft styling.
· Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs.
· Valid Driver's license, have reliable means of transportation.
· We operate on a 9am-5:30pm schedule and have an extensive prop inventory, making sourcing and prepping easier than most styling gigs.
