Facilitates and executes the brands vision through sourcing brand appropriate, leathers, fabric, and trims, delivering 3D visualization for all styles, trouble shooting material, price. Managing time production while troubleshooting any issues ahead of ship dates. Collaborate with Snr PD/ Production director (line manager) & Accessories buying GMM on sourcing strategy, development blueprint, and category calendar. Supervise and promote the development of team through mentoring and training.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with manager to create category calendars. Required to manage and meet calendar deadlines measured by seasonal calendar actualization.
- Research and drive tend research meetings with buying cross functional partners to set direction and roadmaps. Collaborate with Accessories GMM on category strategies outline, based on tear meetings and trend packs.
- Analyze and suggest necessary changes to merchant’s line plan and communicate expectations to the team. Responsible for improving adoption rates over specific time period and hit approved line plan style count measured by seasonal line plan actualization.
- Create a strategy-based business needs and hindsight’s including outline of travel and other required resources.
- Develop and manage raw materials, research, and development of all development. including pre-costing, fabrics, washes, trims, prints and mock-ups.
- Pull together development packs/ cads to clarify important style aspects and strategize on how to deliver product vision at the required price point.
- Coordinate and facilitate team to deliver aesthetically correct samples that meet individual private label’s vision.
- Manage T&A proto and Production tracking, to ensure on time production.
- Responsible for calculating and managing style-out IMUs.
- Collaborate with team and accessories GMM as needed to provide final allocation to merchants once intent to buy has been communicated from merchants. Responsible for communicating in weekly TB any restyles/costing or delivery changes.
Required Experience:
- Six (6) or more years of experience in an accessories product development/production role with strong knowledge of garment & bag construction, global raw material procurement, and manufacturing.
- Extensive experience with Tradestone or other PLM systems, strong skills with Microsoft Excel a must. Experience of building cads and tech packs.
- Experience of chemical and physical testing requirements for all product types.
- Experience in setting production standards and protocols for pre-shipment requirements.
- Must be deadline driven. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and is pro-active in his or her approach to problem solving.
