Fp&A Financial Analyst

Zekelman Industries is searching for a Financial Analyst to work for our Z Modular division. This person will be a key member of the of the growing finance team. In this role you will partner with our Asset Management team overseeing a growing portfolio of self-developed multi-family properties and support other FP&A initiatives. This high visibility position will report to the Director of FP&A.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Analyze the financial results of our multi-family housing properties

· Ensure monthly results for each property are recorded accurately and timely

· Prepare monthly financial results comparing results to forecasts, and prior periods

· Investigate anomalies in financial results

· Reconcile differences between third-party property management results and company financials

· Build financial forecasts, annual budgets and long-range plans

· Present analysis, findings and conclusions to various groups and management levels in the organization

· Design and execute solutions to automate and improve processes

· Work with the Revenue Manager on Data collection and Analytics

· Provide support for other FP&A and Asset Management initiatives

· Ad hoc analysis and other responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar discipline

· Knowledge of accounting and accounting principles

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and data manipulation

· Property management or real estate experience is a plus

· Hands-on knowledge of property management software is plus

· Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple priorities. Experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one’s own work

· Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and presentation skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

· Positive, upbeat attitude that will embrace the Z Modular and Zekelman Industries values

Experience

· Minimum 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field

· Property management or real estate experience is a plus

· Previous experience with property management software is plus

· Previous experience with fully integrated ERP systems such as Microsoft D365 is a plus
