OVERVIEW
The FP Movement Captain contributes to driving sales through supporting the leadership team in elevating the customer experience and establishing lasting connections with customers. Responsible for styling, Movement outfitting education, creating a unique store experience, while maintaining all store operations and goals. This can be a part-time or full-time role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Experience

  • Acts as a brand representative reflective of the company values; drives the store experience on the sales floor through an energized pace. Partners with the store leadership team on the creation of an engaging experience that appeals to the FP Movement customer
  • Initiates conversation and interacts with the customer in every zone in a personalized, genuine way; connects with the customer on shared passions of wellness, fitness, and an active lifestyle. Cultivates customer relationships to build a client base
  • Actively shares details to promote FP Movement events, as well as drive engagement and participation; supports the execution of events in collaboration with fitness and wellness partners
  • Utilizes technology to be well-informed on events and special offers in store and online to enhance the customer experience with an omni perspective

Team Management + Leadership
  • Contributes to an inclusive and people-first philosophy by being positive, respectful and helpful to others
  • Collaborates with peers and leadership, sharing ideas with the team and actively participating in daily meetings, store initiatives, and brand focuses
  • Takes initiative to gain expertise on product and shares knowledge regarding fit, fabrication, and styling to inspire the customer
  • Partners with store team to lead service strategies to fuel a collaborative selling environment and also meet personal sales goals
  • Leads by example in relationship building, styling, and networking with customers

Visual + Business Operations
  • Maintains FP Movement's visual and operational standards while keeping the focus on the customer
  • Supports the shipment process to gain awareness of product including what's new and what's reship
  • Adheres to store's safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

Communication + Relationships
  • Supports an inclusive and people-first philosophy; cultivates productive partnerships with store leadership and team that contributes to a collaborative, customer-centric environment
  • Fosters ongoing relationships with clients through outreach & networking, appointment generation, service follow-up, and engagement through community events
  • Provides insights into shopping trends and customer feedback and communicates to Store Brand Leader and Home Office partners; when applicable, participates within company and district forums through sharing store specific scenarios and ideas

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for FP Movement and/or connection to the local fitness community
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience being a team player, while also being a leader
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays
