- Follow time and attendance guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment and accept and distribute instructions.
- Able to stand for long periods while leaning forward.
- Ability to occasionally lift and / or carry up to 55 pounds individually or 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to squat and bend frequently during shift.
- Ability to grasp, reach, twist, push and / or pull using both hands and wrists as needed.
- Good communication skills and able to perform basic math without errors.
- Tolerant of seasonally very warm temperatures.
QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS

- Appreciation for cleanliness and sanitation, keeping work area clean and organized.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Complete understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.
- Maintain all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear appropriate apparel for the job.

- Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.
- Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs not your back.
- Pivot with your feet avoiding twisting at the waist.
- Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.
- Maintain proper guards and safety devices when working with machinery and on platforms.
- Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSABILIDADES LABORALES
- Complete all pre-op functions and associated paperwork verifying all equipment is ready for production.
- Assemble, connect and verify all filters and pumps are properly corrected.
- Enter all recipe functions into the HMI terminal prior to each product running.
- Install and verify calibration of time/temp chart and sign off on filter and chart.
- Verify cooker ingredients are being weighed up correctly and delivered by cook room staff.
- Partner with Cook Team Leader and Machine Operator, especially at startup and product changes.
- Follow all start up guidelines for the product being run to avoid error and assure minimal waste.
- Prior to initial batch verify that cook room, packaging and lab are 100% ready to begin.
- Follow all instructions, both written and verbal regarding time, temperature and hold times.
- Assure all ingredients are brought into the cooker at the right time and in the right amount for each batch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooker area and conduct breakdown at end of shift.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management.
- Report any suspicious activity related to food defense.
