Job Summary:
As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for efficient material handling operations across departments and throughout the plant, ensuring timely loading of trucks with outgoing materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize forklifts to safely move products within the facility.
- Serve as a Material Handler, occasionally requiring manual movement of products.
- Load and unload trucks with service bodies and other parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Obtain and maintain a valid company-issued Forklift License.
- Execute all Safety and Housekeeping duties diligently.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- One year of sheet metal experience or related experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand (up to 8 hours), sit (up to 8 hours), bend (2 hours), reach (5 hours), and move around the facility.
- Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Mandatory use of safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety shoes/boots.
Work Environment:
- Plant environment with typical elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
- Conditions are manageable, with no extreme discomfort.
- Expect excessive heat during the summertime.
