Shipping Clerk/Forklift Operator
Pay Rate: $22.50 per/hr. (plus a $2.50 per/hr. attendance bonus)
Shift: 8 hour shift
Job Description:
Performs job duties that assures the company meets all safety and quality requirements within the organization, while encouraging continuous improvement and lean practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loading and unloading materials on to forklift in a systematic procedure
- Inspecting equipment before use
- Transporting materials
- Making sure materials are stacked properly
- Consulting, working, and coordinating with lead supervisors regarding unloading and loading materials
- Store products in proper places
- Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, etc.
- Identifies and reports faulty equipments, damages and safety concerns to supervisor
- Inspecting trash hoppers daily, empty as needed
- Responsible for transporting finished material from one location to the staging area safely and securely.
- Sorting, load and unload incoming and outgoing supplies, product and material.
- Awareness of the safety and official procedures of operating forklift
- Ensure all safety requirements are met, work close with co-workers to encourage continuous improvements and lean practices.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment following 5s standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience operating forklift.
- Flatbed loading and oversized loading experience preferred.
- Steel toe boots required

- Vision Abilities: close, distance, and peripheral vision. Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
