Forklift Operator/Material Handler

National Highway Products, Inc., located in Millville, NJ, has 30+ years in business manufacturing traffic, street, and overhead signs and distributing an array of traffic safety products. Our company is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver to carry out duties in our busy warehouse and our outside yard. This job position will require most hours worked outside, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions. Starting pay will be based on experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Unloading and loading materials and merchandise from incoming and outgoing vehicles

· Sorting, rotating, distributing, organizing, and putting away various inventory items as needed, such as for storage or shipment

· Preparing customer pick up orders and using the lift equipment to prepare orders

· Generally working with inventory department, packing department, and production department on things such as cycle counting, wrapping skids, and palletizing

· Ensuring our outside yard is cleaned up daily of all trash, pallets, etc.

· Carrying out basic quality and testing checks – identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies

· Transporting raw materials to production workstations

· Maintaining work areas and safe forklift equipment

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· High school diploma/GED

· Valid certification to operate forklifts (must be able to provide proof of certification)

· 2+ years’ experience operating a forklift

· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

· Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

· Strong work ethic and organizational skills

· Reliable mode of transportation
