POSITION SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job’s duties/tasks.
- Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately
- Warehouse dry and finished – operate lift truck to required standards to move product from trucks to warehouse, warehouse to production, production to warehouse and warehouse to truck utilizing TRM system on forklifts.
- Shell Egg – operate lift truck to required standards to move product from trucks to warehouse and warehouse to production. Utilize SAP system on forklifts for movement of product into production.
- Attend pre-shift meetings, including stretching as a
- Drive forklift in a safe and productive
- Complete the daily forklift inspection and remove the lift from service if a defect is
- Ship and receive product damage free and accurately by completing the Quality Reassurance
- Monitor the floor for safety concerns or infractions and act
- Complete all documents and paperwork completely and
- Fill customer orders accurately and follow the customer’s special
- Work very closely with the office staff to ensure discrepancies and issues are completed
- Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean, damage is taken care of, and pallets are off the floor and placed into
- Promote teamwork within your team and between teams by communicating in a positive and pleasant
- Cycle count as necessary and directed from the office.
- Cross train in other forklift areas to improve operational efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- The successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forklift
- Effectively read, write, and speak
- Strong math and configuration are necessary
- Ability to analyze situations and make the best decision which benefits the company without jeopardizing the health and well-being of the employee.
- Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license is required
- A minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment is
- Good Inter-Personal skills are
- Bilingual preferred
- High school diploma or G.E.D (General Education Degree) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certification is preferred but is not required at the time of hire. All distribution operators will be provided with MFI approved P.I.T. training /certification at the start of
