SUMMARY: Overall ability to safely and efficiently drive/operate/perform in fast-paced, high-volume forklift positions keeping the flow of the product moving through the facility. The most important aspect of this position is to ensure the safety of all personnel within the facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep pallets of product fed to the infeed of the machines ensuring infeed personnel are of your location
- Pickup, stage, and clean products coming off the machine as designated by management and Supervisory personnel
- Receive trailer loads of product following IFCO and Facility processes and procedures
- Work safely and efficiently with minimal guidance while maintaining facility organization as directed
- Keep all parts of the operation and building in good working order
- Support and assist in future duties/projects as assigned.
- Assist with special projects as directed
- Be flexible due to the seasonality of the facility/business
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least 6 months of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift
- Must have the ability to lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs. of product throughout the shift
- Must pass the OSHA-required certification before performing as a Forklift Operator
