Forklift Operator

I. Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs the loading of outbound flatbed trailers and the occasional unloading of inbound raw material.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Works under limited supervision and selects from written and/or oral instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Performs daily inspection of your powered industrial truck prior to its use.
• Maintains a clean, neat, safe work area.

This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

• Education: High school diploma/GED
• Experience: Two (2) year(s) of relevant work experience.
• Experience with powered industrial trucks.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
• Verbal and written communication skills

Normal setting for this job is: lift truck/joist yard.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
