Job Title: Forklift Operator - $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS
Department: Material Handling
Shift: Rotating, 12-hour Shift including Weekends
Wage: Starts at a base of $18.00/Hr
Bonus Information:
Employee will receive $500 after first day of employment, to be paid out on first paycheck.
Employee will receive remaining $1,000 to be paid out on the first pay check following 90 days of employment.

Position Overview: The Forklift Operator is responsible for supplying production lines with bulk product and supplies, removing finished product, and placing within the warehouse. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:
- Operates forklift in and around packaging lines and warehouse.
- Concurrently meets the needs of up to 3 production lines.
- Assesses status of order to check order ratio and identifies mistakes made.
- Maintains supplies and bulk product to packaging lines and acts proactively to anticipate station needs.
- Utilizes the RF Scanner to allocate components, reporting on components, and returns excess to warehouse.
- Keeps packaging rooms clean and orderly.
- Removes finished pallets from packaging lines and loads onto transfer trailer.
- Identifies issues and mistakes missed by previous shifts.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
- Complies with Bob's Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Possesses good communication skills both written and orally.
- Ability to work well individually and as a member of a team.
- Ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings.
- Ability to speak, write and understand the English language.
- Must become certified in forklift usage and be able to demonstrate safe forklift operation and proficiency.
- Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.
Qualifications:
- Forklift certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of previous experience as a Forklift Operator preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 55 pounds.
- Position may require standing for long periods of time.
- Position requires the ability to work at a fast pace in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- Weekends are required.
- The primary work environment for this position is within the production and warehouse areas of the facility. Temperatures may vary in different areas of the facility.
- Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
